The non-profit Stop Acid Attacks, opened Sheroes in 2014. By employing survivors of devastating acid attacks, the cafe aims to foster confidence in the victims while raising awareness and demanding more severe laws to punish attackers.
The vibrant cafe serves food, but also sells crafts and artwork by its employees, and has a library and gathering space for performances.
